How to Apply

The application process begins with a phone interview, after which an application form is provided to the interested candidate. After the Case Manager receives the completed application, a face-to-face interview is scheduled to detemine if the applicant is a good candidate for the program at Dove Harbor. Eligibility Requirements

Dove Harbor accepts single women, widows, mothers and children, and pregnant women age 20 or older from anywhere in the United States.

Criteria for admission includes:

• Crisis situation involving an emotional or financial need for transitional housing.
• A pattern of repeated or prolonged involvement in unhealthy relationships or environments.
• Willingness to develop responsible lifestyle changes and commit to a six-month program.
• Extended separation from a former abuser for victims of recent domestic violence.
• 30 days of sobriety from alcohol or any mood altering chemical.
• Willingness to comply with house guidelines including: chores, paying program fees, attending groups and maintaining a safe environment.
