You Can Make a Difference!

There are many ways you can serve at Madison Park Church. We'll help you discover the volunteer positions that you are uniquely designed to fulfill. Below is a list of Open Positions. To learn more, contact , Volunteer Coordinator.

Adult Discipleship and Education Ministry

  • Small Group Leader: Invite friends and neighbors and start your own small group or we can help connect you to others that want to be in a small group. You only have to love God and love others, we’ll give you the tools necessary to lead.
  • Small Group Coach: Help small group leaders stay connected to the larger church body, and survive the storms of group life by supporting and encouraging them through regular interaction. Some administrative skills and communication skills are necessary.
  • Grow U Teacher/Assistant/Substitute Teacher: Teach an adult class on Sunday mornings or Wednesday evenings for our Grow U program. You can choose your own curriculum or use one we suggest. An energetic heart and desire to teach others is all that is required.
  • J.O.Y. (Just older Youth—Senior Adults) Leadership Team: Join the J.O.Y. leadership team and help plan trips, arrange monthly speakers and assist with the monthly luncheon. No skills necessary, just a desire to see Senior adults join together in ministry.
  • Singles Leadership Team: Join the Singles Ministry leadership team; organize monthly game nights, plan activities and parties. No skills required, just a heart for singles.
  • Discipleship Team: Join the Discipleship Team and help wrestle with the discipleship needs of the congregation. A desire to see God’s people grow spiritually is all that you need to be a part of our team.
  • Discipleship Mentor: To be a mentor you must have the desire to see someone else take the next steps in their faith in a one on one basis.
  • Marriage Mentor: To be a marriage mentor you need to be married for at least 5 years and be willing to participate in training and follow a newly married couple for a year following their wedding.
  • Church Librarian: Volunteer to assist with the sorting and coding of books, tapes, and reference materials donated to the church library. Maintain the library as materials are checked in an out of the library. Or lead a book club, small group to discuss popular books.
  • Financial Peace University Leadership Team: Become a teacher and planner for FPU. Help make decisions and plan connection points for present and past participants of FPU. No CPA required just a passion for living out the FPU principles and a desire to see others live debt free.
  • Women’s Ministry: If you are interested in women’s ministry of any kind sign up to be a part of a team that develops the ministry.
  • Men’s Ministry: Join the Men’s Fraternity Team, by signing up to attend or volunteering to be a leader.
  • Office Volunteer: Volunteer to assist with general office work: copying, cutting and stuffing or basic data entry.

Children's Ministry

Children's Ministries Volunteer Application (pdf)

  • Nursery Volunteers: Service in this ministry is one of the most vital within our church. The care and safety of our little ones is a high priority.
  • Small Group Leaders: Serves as a shepherd to the children by building relationships with them and encouraging them to pursue a deeper relationship with Jesus Christ.
  • Large Group Leaders: This role serves as a teacher and music leader during the Large Group Program in the rooms.
  • Small Group Leaders Coach: Serves as a shepherd who connects with small group leaders.
  • First Impressions Team: Serve by welcoming families and checking on their children.
  • Creative Environments Team: Serve by creating classroom environments that invite children to grow and play.
  • Sound/Tech Media Team: Serve behind the scene as sound and media operator.
  • Curriculum Administrator: Serve behind the scenes preparing weekly curriculum materials for students and group leader materials for each unit.
  • Special Needs Team: Serve by assisting children one on one with special needs (birth – 5th grade) in building relationships with peers, leader and Jesus.
  • Special Events Photographer: Serve by capturing the learning and fun in action!
  • Special Events Childcare: Be a part of a team of childcare workers who care for our precious little ones during special events hosted at Madison Park. During special events the church pays a small fee for the care.

Front Door Ministry

  • Door Greeters: Greet people at the entry points to Madison Park.Volunteer for one or more service.
  • Auditorium Greeters: Greet people as they the worship services. Volunteer for one or more service.
  • Ushers Team: Assist people with seating, collecting the offering, serving communion. Volunteer for one or more service.
  • Valet Team: Park vehicles for those who need assistance. Volunteer for one or more service.
  • Shuttle Team: Provide pick-up and return service from the parking lot to the main doors. Volunteer for one or more service.
  • Information Center Attendant: Assist people with information, listening devices, emergency pagers and miscellaneous. Volunteer for one or more service.
  • Holy Grounds Team: Work with a team to serve beverages and some pastries on Sunday mornings. Volunteer for one or more service.
  • Hospitality Host/Hostess: Assist MPC guests, give welcome bag and general information about MPC, and engage in conversation. Volunteer for one or more service.
  • Materials Preparation: Focus on detail and available during the work week to volunteer inside the Cross Street office for clerical work. Approximately 3-8 hours (depends on work load).
  • Explore Madison Park Assistant: Friendly, helpful. Available 3rd Wednesday of the month from 5:30-8:30pm to check in participants, assist with room set up (books, folders, refreshments), fellowship with participants and clean up.
  • Assimilation Team: Helpful attitude. Available 1st Tuesday of the month to brainstorm and implement assimilation techniques for Madison Park.

Pastoral Care Ministry

  • Health Ministry: Provide needs assessment for patients transitioning home. Provide health training, blood pressure and cholesterol check, emergency response for MPC services. Monitor and deliver medical supplies.
  • Altar Prayer Counselors: Trained counselors pray with people at the altar after services.
  • Bereavement Support Teams: Be a part of the team who helps prepare funeral dinners. Be a part of the team who serves lunch or dinner after the funeral. Be a part of the team who send cards and notes of encouragement of support
  • Prayer Team: Organize and help provide prayer opportunities for Madison Park Church family.
  • Stephens Ministry: Equips lay caregivers to provide confidential, Christ-centered, one-to-one care to the bereaved, hospitalized, terminally ill, separated, divorced, unemployed, relocated, and others facing a crisis or life challenge
  • Transportation Team: Transport persons to doctor appointments; pick up medical needs, etc.
  • Visitation Team: Visit hospitals, convalescent homes and/or shut ins to carry Christ to MPC family.

Student Ministries - Jr. High and Sr. High programs

Children's Ministries Volunteer Application (pdf)

  • Weekly Opportunities: Small Group Leaders meet with students every week throughout the school year. They help with Bible studies, discussion times, and relationship building.
  • Worship Service Volunteers: Assist with either IMPACT (Jr. High, 6-8 grade) or IGNITE (Sr. High, 9-12) in various roles including: greeters, small group activities, program roles, worship teams, tech support, and behind the scenes help. We are also looking for those who can assist in set-up and tear-down for these services.
  • As Needed: There are many activities that require volunteers throughout the year. They include: set-up/tear-down for parties and activities, providing transportation to various activities and retreats, food preparation for special events and many more.

Worship Arts Ministry

  • Choir/Instrumentalist: Sing and play in weekend services. Serving Communion Serve in services once monthly Scripture Reader Expressively read scripture in services. Dramatic Participant Participate in drama in services and seasonal presentation. Technical Ministries Support services and events with sound, lighting, and projection.

Outreach and Missions

  • Dove Harbor: Mentoring residents, provide a ride to church, fundraising assistant, and maintenance assistant.
  • Security for Dads: Mentoring program where men can be a positive role model and share their time and wisdom with youth of our community.
  • Miriam Project: Staff events and help with fundraiser.
  • North Kids: Read to a child or assist in a classroom.
  • Missions Finance Team: Help direct funding outside of Madison Park Church.
  • Country Ambassador: Support a specific ministry outside of the U.S. and help MPC goers be informed and involved.
  • Local Ambassador: Get involved in our community. Represent MPC and support our community.
  • Madison Park Athletics and Outdoor Ministries: Enjoy team sports, motorcycle rides, cycling, and other outdoor activities.

Facilities and Grounds

  • Landscaping Team: Person or small groups interested in helping with outside landscaping of the Church property.
  • Repair/Projects Team: Person or small groups who enjoys doing small repair and/or woodworking.
